The membership
What do I get with Digital Content Online?
One membership gives you access to the whole Digital Content Online library: films and series, music, games, and a set of software tools including a VPN, antivirus, ad blocking and a password manager. Your first three days are free, with full access from the moment you sign up, and there is nothing extra to buy once you are a member.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The library runs in your web browser, so a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge is all you need. The software tools are downloaded separately from your account area once your membership is active.
Which devices can I use?
Your membership works on a computer, tablet or phone. You sign in with the same email address on each device, and what you were watching or listening to follows you between them.
Is the content available everywhere?
Availability changes from country to country because of licensing. We check your location when you sign up so we can show you the catalogue that is licensed where you are.
The free trial
How long is the trial and what does it include?
Three days, with full access to every library from the moment you sign up. Nothing is held back during the trial.
Will I be charged during the trial?
No. There is no charge during the three-day trial. Your card may be temporarily pre-authorised for $2.00 so that we can verify the payment method, but no $2.00 charge is taken and the authorisation is released. Depending on your bank it may show as a pending line on your statement for a few days before it disappears.
Why do you need my card for a free trial?
The card confirms that the payment method is valid and helps us establish your location for content licensing. It is also what the membership rolls onto if you decide to keep it. Nothing is charged unless the trial ends without you cancelling.
What happens when the trial ends?
If you have not cancelled, your membership continues automatically at $39.99 per month and the first payment is taken on day four. If you cancel before the trial ends, no payment is taken at all.
Payments and billing
How much does the membership cost after the trial?
$39.99 per month, billed monthly. There is no minimum contract and no joining fee.
When is the first payment taken?
On day four, if you have not cancelled during the trial. From then the membership renews automatically at $39.99 per month on the same date each month until you cancel.
Which payment methods can I use?
We accept the major debit and credit cards shown at the bottom of the sign-up page. Card details are handled by our payment provider over an encrypted connection and are never stored on our own servers.
Will I know when my trial is about to end?
Your trial end date is fixed when you sign up and shown in your account area, so you know exactly when the first payment falls due. You can cancel at any point before then.
A payment did not go through. What now?
A card issuer can decline a payment for reasons outside our control, such as an expiry date or a spending limit. Check the details on your card, try again, and if it still fails email [email protected] and we will look into it with you.
Cancelling and refunds
How do I cancel?
You can cancel at any time, including during the trial. Either cancel from your account settings, or email [email protected] and we will do it for you. There is no cancellation charge.
What happens if I cancel during the trial?
Nothing is charged. Your access runs to the end of the three days and your card is not billed.
What happens to my access after I cancel?
If you cancel after monthly billing has started, your membership stays open until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then expires.
Can I get a refund?
Where a refund is due to you, we make it without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date you tell us you want to cancel. Refunds go back to the payment method you originally used. The full wording is in section 7 of the Terms and Conditions.
Can I rejoin later?
Yes. Sign up again with the same email address and your membership restarts under the terms in force at that time.
Your account and data
I have signed up but cannot get in.
Check that you are using the email address you registered with, and look in your spam folder for the confirmation message. If you still cannot get in, email [email protected] from that address and we will restore access.
What personal data do you collect?
We collect the details you give us when you register, plus usage data such as device type, browser and IP address. What we collect, why, and how long we keep it is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Are there adverts in the library?
No. The membership fee is what pays for the service, so the library itself carries no advertising.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. The service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Still need an answer?
If your question is not covered here, email us and a person will get back to you. Please write from the address you registered with so we can find your account.
